Monos - Collage

Monos
Collage (Fungal 03 - 2003)
CDR, 3 editions of 100, 50 and 50 copies with different covers

Here is what was said at the time on ICR :
The latest album from Darren Tate and Colin Potter as Monos. Field recordings by the former are processed and manipulated by the latter almost beyond recognition and electronic sounds are discreetly added. Slow changes, but the journey ends in a very different place to where it started. Three editions.
Expect more Monos / Darren Tate on this blog in the future... (and Monos should release a new album in the following days? weeks? months? years?)

Ajilvsga - White Path / Red Path

My first rip from a cassette. Hope the sound is OK enough, side B is perhaps a bit too loud...

Ajilvsga
White Path / Red Path (PM31 - 2008)
C40 Edition of 100, OOP

Thick clouds of swirling electronics, walls of distortion, phased guitars, tar, and electricity riveted together for one of the heaviest and densest Ajilvsga recordings to date. Melodies briefly stumble to the surface, only to be turned inside out by the chaos. High bias chrome tapes with 4 panel J-card and obi.

This cassette was released by Peasant Magik
Of course you know that Ajilvsga is the duo of Brad Rose and Nathan Young, and well... it's just great!

Link removed, my rip was just too bad... I'll make a new post with a newand better rip.

First Transmission

I would love to post a lot, but :
  1. I'm lazy
  2. I'm not sure i'm competent enough
  3. I don't have very much time for myself...
So you mustn't expect regular updates, and they may well be quite far apart. But here goes my first post proper... :
